  • Forschungsbereich | Paläoklimadynamik in der Ursprungsregion der Menschheit

Das Chew Bahir Projekt, in dem ich arbeite, untersucht als Teil des internationalen Forschungszusammenschlusses Hominin Sites and Paleolakes Drilling Project Klimaschwankungen in Ostafrika um Hypothesen zu den Zusammenhangen von Klimaschwankungen und der Evolution des Menschen zu testen. Als Teil eines grossen Teams versuchen wir diese Umwelt Fluktuationen anhand von Sedimentkernen aus dem Ostafrikanischen Rift zu rekonstruieren.
